How we write and review

Short version: a machine helps us draft, a person is accountable for every number, and we tell you what has and has not been reviewed.

1. Where the facts come from

Every range, threshold and re-test interval comes from our knowledge base: 131 markers, 26 age- and sex-specific range sets, each row tied to a named organisation, document and year (WHO, ESC/EAS, ADA, KDIGO, EFLM, NORIP and others). If we cannot point to a source, we say “no rating” rather than guess.

2. How a draft is made

The first draft of an article is AI-assisted. That is a tool, not an author. Before anything is published a human editor reads the whole text, checks each number against the cited guideline, removes filler and rewrites for plain language (about a 7th-grade reading level).

3. What we tested ourselves

Our reading engine was tested on 210 real laboratory reports from Slovenian labs (internal test, 2026): 98.2 % of markers were recognised correctly, with age and sex applied in every case. We publish the number because we measured it, not because it sounds good.

4. Who is accountable

Articles are signed by the Blood Lab 360 editorial team, Feel Awsm d.o.o., Ljubljana. We do not invent reviewers. As of September 2026 no article carries a clinician’s sign-off; when a named clinician reviews a piece, their name and credentials will appear on it.

5. Freshness and dead links

Each article shows the date it was last checked. We re-verify the sources list and the linked guidelines at least twice a year and when a guideline is replaced (for example a new ESC or ADA edition).

6. Corrections

Found an error? Write to us. We fix confirmed errors within a week and note the change on the article.

Blood Lab 360 is an information tool, not a medical device, and nothing here replaces advice from your doctor.
